The Blankie went home
This follows what I wrote a few weeks ago about Liliana's birthday party. Liliana had been saying she would put away the blankie and stop sucking her thumb when she turned four, but it took about one month more.
Christmas day turned out to be the big day for the little girl in our family. After dinner we all went into the attic and opened the box.
All the beloved comforts of the past came out for a visit. Elena had her dog Sam, Antonio had Ellie the Elephant and Liliana her Blankies.
After the minute of silence and one more big hug we put the Blankie away.
That first night was a little tough, but she has turned the corner and stopped sucking her thumb. The little girl is growing up.
